A very big thank you to everyone who came along to our community update at the village hall last Thursday. We were delighted by the turnout – it really was standing room only – and we are extremely grateful for the enthusiasm and encouragement shown by so many people from across the village and beyond.
At the meeting we heard from our Chair, Jeremy Cooper, and Vice Chair, Hugh Kermode, as well as our local MP, Helena Dollimore. Ahead of the meeting Helena shared the following message with us:
“Thanks for getting in touch and for sharing this exciting news. It’s great to hear that the purchase of the Bell is going ahead. Well done to you and all involved in the campaign for this incredible achievement.”
After the presentations we held a wide-ranging Q&A session. We have captured the questions raised and will be publishing a summary on our website shortly for those who were unable to attend.
Looking ahead, our next major milestone is the preparation of the community share offer prospectus. Work on this is now under way, and we are aiming to publish it early in the new year, with the share offer opening soon after. Every share purchased will play an important part in securing the Bell for the community, so we encourage everyone who is able to consider taking part when the offer opens.
